An Inside Look: Chief McClelland Speaks to Cadet Class #224


Houston Police Chief Charles A. McClelland, Jr. recently welcomed dozens of
new police recruits to their first day of training in HPD's 224th Police
Academy Class.  




On July 7, Class #224 gathered in room #436 at the L. D. Morrison Police
Training Academy at 17000 Aldine Westfield for the beginning of the 26-week
rigorous training to join the ranks of HPD.  Following this intensive
training, the cadets will graduate and be sworn in as HPD officers and join the
rank and file to serve and protect the citizens of Houston.  




Chief McClelland spoke to the cadets on numerous topics including
expectations, Houston's cultural diversity and HPD's core values.
