Blood drive and the 100 Club

Today from 9am - 3pm, the North Division will be hosting a blood drive in honor of Officer Eydelmen Mani, who lost his life in the line of duty on May 19, 2010. In an attempt to save Officer Mani's life, a tremendous amount of blood was used. It is a reminder of how very important it is to give blood as there is always a need. If you have questions or need more information, please call 713-308-1860.

Also, the 100 Club announced today that donations are being accepted to its “Survivor’s Fund” which provides benefits to the dependents of peace officers and firefighters who are killed in the line of duty.

Officer Eydelmen Mani, 30, died in the line of duty on Wednesday morning, May 19, 2010, after his patrol car crashed while on his way to assist other officers.

Officer Mani had been an officer with the Houston Police Department for seven years. He is survived by his wife and a three year old son.

A $10,000 check will be given to Officer Mani’s family to assist with any needs they may have. Additional financial support for the family will be provided, after a review is made by the Club, to include current financial and children’s educational needs.

If you wish to help, contributions may be made at, or mailed to 100 Club Survivor’s Fund – 1233 West Loop South – Suite 1250, Houston, TX 77027.

100% of “Survivor’s Fund” donations go to the dependents of law enforcement officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty.
