Cadet Class 207 - Final Roll Call

Click Play Above

Tradition held strong as HPD Cadet Class 207 held their final roll call as the sun rose above the police academy yesterday morning. Cadet classes will stand in formation during roll call and will announce their names one by one very quickly. Throughout training, roll calls are done the same way every time, every morning. However, on graduation day, such as Class 207, it is done a little differently with each cadet of Class 207 slowing down and pronouncing their name loudly and proudly. Later that night, 79 men and women graduated and began wearing the blue uniform, the largest cadet class in HPD history.

To all of class 207....Not everyone who started with you finished. You worked hard to earn the title of Police Officer. Remember what you have been taught and you will have a successful career.

Though there was no class after you to applaud you after your final roll call, I applaud you for the job you have done.

The best to each of you...Be safe out there.

An HPD Academy Officer
