I'll be starting the academy in january (Hopefully). I hope to be apart of this great department and looking forward to seeing and working with everyone!!!!!
It really depends on the individual applying. Normally the application process, including interviews and backgrounds, can be completed within 4 weeks or less, unless the individual has lived or worked at numerous locations throughout the United States. Also it is very important for the individual to have all his or her necessary documents that are needed for his or her application. If you are prepared when you apply it really helps speed things up.
To the individual who posted the comment regarding process time and the length it takes along with the comments on the hiring incentive. I did not post your comment because of the non typical issues you referred to. I would be happy to check on your application status and tell you what may have happened. Online is the quickest way to get into the system. If you are unable to apply online, by all means walk in. (1200 Travis, 13th Floor) We are open from 7:00am to 9:00pm Monday through Friday.
