Pressure Relief!

Click Play Above

After six months in the police academy, Class 197 graduated last week. As you may imagine, the pressure of finishing and getting the badge pinned on boils down to the final day when it actually happens. Class 197 had some funny and bright moments this day. As the commercial once said "Plop Plop Fizz Fizz, oh what a relief it is!" Once again congratulations ladies and gentlemen, go forth, protect, and serve.

Do you live on campus while you attend the academy or can you go home at night?

You do not live at the Academy. You will get to go home every night.

I am currently stationed in Iraq. I just wanted to let you know that I am from the San Antonio area and want to join HPD when my service is over. I read this blog every chance I get and it always brings a smile to my face. I have been meaning to make a comment for a long time. This video espicially shows the human side to HPD. I can see that HPD is family. Thank you.

I just had to compliment you on this blog. I have checked out several agencies and no one seems to have something like this. This gives me the inside look at HPD and I like what I see. I have narrowed my choices down to two. I will email you with further questions. Just wanted to give you a comp!
