Moonlight Bike Ride

Click PLAY above

The Houston Police Department held it's first annual "Moonlight Bike Ride" event in June to support the Houston Police Foundation (http://www.houstonpolicefoundation.com/). What a fun and exciting time for all. The HPD Recruiting Unit was there along with other divisions to help make it a success. Kids of all ages showed up in downtown Houston to enjoy the festivities, meet police officers, pet the horses and of course participate in the bike ride. If you missed it this year, look for it next year and don't miss the fun. If you apply today and go into the next academy class, you could be in HPD blue at the next "Moonlight Bike Ride!"

Hey! I was there my kids...I saw them when you panned across the kids on bikes! That was fun and I am looking forward to it next year. All the police officers were very nice to me and all my kids. Kudos to HPD. Thank you. P.S. Love the blog!

I was there too. It was fun. I enjoyed the bike ride. I went around four times. I met you Officer McCoy. You gave my little girl a balloon. Thank you for being so nice. HPD is a class act.
